Supplied in hard copy and electronically, the handbook comes in three volumes - with separate sections for employers and employees.
Part 1: The Employer Guidance is a reference guide to current employment law to assist employers through everyday situations including disciplinary hearings and employee sickness.
Part 2: Template Documents. These are to assist employers to put in place all necessary paperwork to practically deal with any issues that arise.
Part 3: Employee Handbook is a model staff handbook, which contains a number of policies which employers can introduce for their employees, including disciplinary, grievance, sickness, absence, harassment and equal opportunities policies.
For the first year subscription costs £950 + VAT, reducing to £350 + VAT for subsequent years. In the first year new subscribers also receive a free standard contract of employment that can be tailored for the employer's use. The handbook will be regularly updated and subscribers will receive revised sections as appropriate.
Also, to complement the handbook we are able to provide access to competitive insurance services which can provide cover in the event of an employee bringing an Employment Tribunal claim, e.g. unfair dismissal and discrimination. The insurance can cover both the legal fees incurred in defending the claim and also payment of an award.

The updated hlw employment handbook provides a cost effective guide to dealing with the complex requirements of employment law and is backed with a dedicated telephone support line. The handbook is ideally suited to small and medium sized businesses who do not have in-house HR expertise. Each section of the handbook has been recently fully updated. In addition to make the handbook more "user friendly" we have also revised the formatting and layout.
