At hlw we have developed arrangements with a number of local firms of solicitors who do not themselves specialise in commercial work. By referring such work to hlw these firms are adding value to their clients’ service without putting at risk the core relationship with their clients which is so important to maintain.

The areas of commercial work covered by these arrangements include:

•   Corporate including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and corporate finance.
•   Commercial litigation including contractual, real property and intellectual property disputes.
•   Commercial property including development, construction and planning.
•   Corporate insolvency including debt recovery and preventative arrangements.
•   Employment including dismissals, discrimination and contractual terms.
•   Intellectual property including brand and product exploitation and protection.

We can undertake this work either as agents of our referring solicitors or, as most of our existing referrers prefer, directly for their clients.

Any referring firm can be confident that:

•   at hlw we have the proven experience, expertise and resources to undertake the work to their client’s satisfaction;
•   we will not seek to prejudice the core relationship which the referring firm enjoys with its clients.

We are very happy to enter into commission arrangements with referring firms in accordance with Law Society guidelines.
